During my years as teacher and administrator, I saw frequent examples of nurturing on many levels: teacher to student and parent to student (nothing new in these). But there were many other levels as well: student to student, teacher to teacher, even student to teacher, student to parent, teacher to parent, parent to teacher, parent to parent. And, of course, administration and support staff nurturing everyone, including volunteers.

These are the schools where children are more likely to learn.
